2011 BORDA BNS Network Partner Meeting in Siem Reap, Cambodia

BORDA’s 7th annual BNS Network Partner Meeting was held in Siem Reap Cambodia from the 25th to 28th of November, 2011.

Over 50 participants from 14 countries in Europe, Africa and Asia, came together to discuss their activities in 2011 and plans for 2012.

One key focus of the meeting was to expand the dissemination of DEWATS (Decentralized Wastewater Treatment System) pre-fabricated options. Aside from the main discussion topics, smaller regional and technical groups of participants had the opportunity to discuss other issues, such as R&D, administration issues, DEWATS engineering, and country or regionally specific topics.

Although there were no technical site visits possible in Siem Reap, participants did have the opportunity to experience Cambodian culture with a visit to the famous UNESCO World Heritage listed Angkor Wat temples – at 5:30 am!

Overall the meeting was informative and inspiring and emphasized the rewards of actively maintaining the BNS Partner Network.
