Once again a BORDA BNS partner organisation won an international acclaimed price: The “Yunnan Environment Development Institute” (YEDI) is the national winner of the ENERGY GLOBE Award 2008 with an eco-sanitation project.
On this year’s “National Energy Globe Award” that was held in Prague, Czech Republic, YEDI represented the Peoples Republic of China with a project to improve water quality in the area of the Puzhehei Lake in South China which is an important livelihood asset.

The objective for the HydRam project is to provide an environmentally friendly sustainable water supply service in order to increase income and improve the living conditions of poor communities and empower women. In China, the BORDA HydRam project has been carried out for over ten years.
