New BORDA Homepage Network is online now!

On October the 5th our new homepage network was launched.

The BORDA Bremen website now links to the three project offices BORDA South Asia, Southeast Asia and Mekong/China. The four websites are set online as an interlinked network of pages and provide visitors with detailed information and current news on our work.


BORDA Partner Network Met in Indonesia

In September 2005, BORDA hosted an international workshop as part of its work on “Improving Efficiency in Cross-Cultural Teams”.

26 participants attended the event in Indonesia representing BORDA partner organisations, regional offices and the Bremen head office. This was the first meeting of its kind constituting a come-together of the entire partner network.


Federal Minister visits BORDA exhibition stand in Berlin

27th -29th September 2005 the event “After the Tsunami Catastrophe – How does Reconstruction Work?” was hosted by the Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development. The exhibition took place at Rotes Rathaus Berlin and displayed the work and achievements of the organisations and institutions that have been actively contributing to the sustainable reconstruction of the disaster-struck areas. Development Minister Heidemarie Wiczorek-Zeul also visited the BORDA stand during the opening ceremony.


New Homepage of AGS-Social Improvement Network

As one of eight member organizations of the German  “Arbeitsgemeinschaft Sozialstruktur” (AGS), BORDA was engaged in a joint effort to start the new website www.sozialstruktur.org which provides information in both German and English about the aims and activities of the AGS and their members.


BORDA provides workshops for decision-makers in SADC countries

In cooperation with SANTREN, BORDA organised and carried out information workshops in the SADC countries South Africa, Namibia, Botswana, Lesotho, Tanzania, Malawi, Zimbabwe, Zambia and Mozambique. A large number of decision-makers holding responsibility in the areas of waste water treatment and sanitary infrastructure participated in the 9 workshops carried out in July 2005.
